Colony of South Asia
Colony of South Asia is the smallest colony in the empire which is under direct command of Great Nepal. Various nations of South East Asia were colonized between date of 1970 BS. This colony is also least developed one in the empire with Human Development Index of only 0.677 compared to empire wide Human development Index of 0.984. Population of the colony is estimated at 1 billion for 2067 BS.
House prices have been falling in the colony as people move to other better developed colonies along with population. It has been nicknamed as "dark shadow of empire", thanks to its development level similar to underdeveloped nation. Kathmandu has been trying to improve the condition in the area however resistance is not making the task any easier.
It also has the largest military base per land area in empire and has high police presence. A tank can commonly be seen passing through the roads. Government has always defended this high military presence in the colony by saying that the people are not as much accepting as other colonies and military and police force are needed in higher number to prevent any unrest.However the recent increase in living standards means people are starting to be more accepting to rule by Great Nepal. Hopefully with current level of progress, government can trust the colony and reduce military presence soon.
